Her opinion
After a twenty years in the financial industry,
based in New York, London and Paris, I switched career in 2004
to dedicate myself to humanitarian pursuits. As a mother of 4, I
am very concerned about topics effecting the role of the
mothers, families and the status of women in general. I
therefore decided that becoming the permanent representative to
the United Nations for the World Movement of Mothers would
enable me to actively participate an influence these issues.
I firmly believe that societies cannot develop
harmoniously unless children have received from their parents –
mothers in particular- the essential protection and education
vital to their development.
I believe that the route to enhance peace and
development. in society can be found through the education and
protection of it’s mothers, who in turn will help future
generations become responsible and balanced human beings.
However. Without a safe and equitable environment, mothers
cannot fulfill their nurturing role and in the long term society
as a whole will suffer the consequences.
