Moldova

MMM International is working on Follow-up to a NATO-funded scientific study in Moldova held in March 2004 entitled:   Global Challenges to Societies in Transition - Case study: Human trafficking in Moldova. The MMM brought together high-level representatives of the relevant ministries, government departments and international organisations to investigate the gravity of the human and security dimensions of human trafficking and developed  a strategy of concrete action to help further strengthen anti-trafficking action and combat the activities of organised crime in Moldova and in the destination countries. The immediate results were improved training for border guards in Ukraine, a conference to develop closer regional links and international cooperation, and an initiative of the International Organisation for Migration to mobilise the Moldovan Diaspora in the destination countries to offer support for victims....More

March 2004 - the MMM ran a NATO-funded scientific Research Workshop in the Slovak Republic  in Smolenice, to develop a strategy of practical activities to prevent, mitigate and remedy trauma and the effects of conflict and terrorism in children and adolescents...More
