Who ?
MMMEurope
is the only organization to present the concerns and opinions of
European mothers to the decision-takers of the European Union.
It represents in particular the MMM member associations in 16
European countries, speaking for millions of mothers.
The
European MMM team, located in Brussels, is headed by
Françoise de BELLEFROID, assisted by Margit KRANEWRITTER,
Marie-Claude HAYOIT , Victoria LAWSON and Joan Stevens.

Mission
- highlight the vital social role played by mothers for
Europe’s future :
mothers nurture in their children the attitudes and values which
will remain with them into adolescence and adulthood – and these
are the attitudes and values which make – or break – family
relationships, community spirit and national pride – every
aspect of living together in harmony
- Inform the MMM member associations on proposals for new
legislation and directives particularly concerning social issues
and education
- Raise the awareness of national governments and MEPs on
issues of concern to mothers.

- Its principal objective is to improve the situation of
mothers in Europe by demanding:
- Recognition for unpaid work in the home and in the

- Consideration of the importance of the family in all
European policy-making
